Philosophy & teaching practice:
Neat Feet & Good Technique!
Dance for your partner not the room!
Quality Moving not Quantity Moves!
Telford salsa club is managed by Sylvie with much support from her friends! Sylvie has danced all her life but was introduced to salsa in 2000 & became hooked!! She has been teaching since 2003 & has trained extensively both as a lead & follower with some of the best teachers & performers on the salsa circuit; Susana Montero, Super Mario, Lee Hunter, Leon Rose, Patrick Mussendik, Marchant Birch, Angus Peters, Mauricio Reyes, Miguel & Mayan, Lee & Shelley, Gary & Jayne, Rohan Brown, plus other international teachers at various salsa congresses & others too numerous to mention! She never stops attending classes; believes you should never stop working on perfecting the fundamentals & underlying techniques in order to become the best you can be. She is very pleased to now be partnered by Mark Collins, one of her former students!!
Telford salsa club is well known & respected in Shropshire and wider salsa community. Sylvie is passionate about providing a quality dance experience for local dancers, regardless of skill level as not everyone has the time, money or ambition to travel to city clubs. This is reflected in the venues used, the high teaching standards & choice of activities on offer. She has a reputation for QUALITY teaching, for turning out smooth social dancers who are well skilled on the dance floor, stylish & most important whether a leader or follower, are safe! Sylvie is also very well known for organising special workshops with the best professional teachers to aid progression for her students and for hosting absolutely fabulous salsa parties so they can dance the night away! Sylvie has been called a trail blazer and has introduced her dancers to many new experiences over the years so her passion for dance is enjoyed by many & the salsa flag continues to fly high and proud in Telford!
